6 Reasons to choose dried flowers for your unique wedding

Lately I’ve been getting more and more couples say that their number one reason for choosing dried flowers is that they get to keep them after the wedding day.

This is definitely a no brainer. Who wouldn’t want to revisit their special day every time they take a look across the room and see their flowers sitting pretty for years and years to come?

But what other reasons are there for opting for dried and preserved florals for your special day?

1. Break the mould

Achieve a floral look which is striking, original and eye-catching.

Dried flowers and no longer the dusty and dry look of yesteryear. These days, dry flowers and bright, vibrant and colourful. In fact, there is pretty much no colour we cannot get.

Using fresh flowers can limit what types of blooms you can have at any given point in the year. We don’t have that issue with dried and preserved flowers as we can order them well in advance of the wedding and keep them looking as fresh as the moment they were dried, capturing a moment in time.

2. Be different

Choosing dried and preserved flowers certainly gives you a look that will be different from most. We create stunning combinations that are each to themselves different from the last. No two bouquets are the same and no two weddings are the same.

Go for something a little different and stand out from the crowd!

3. Lasting memories

Keep your bouquets for ever!

This is the big one- who wouldn’t want this? Our bouquets last for years and years to be enjoyed in your home or gifted to your bridal party, family and friends.

How sad is it to spend all this money on your special wedding flowers only for them to wilt (even maybe on the day!) and die? Our flowers look fresh all day long and long long after.

Your colours, your way. We can create your bouquet and wedding flowers in any colour of your choice. With dried and preserved flowers, there are no limitations to the colour you would like to achieve. We can match back to your bridesmaids, go for something super colourful or stick with a neutral palette. Sarah was a trained fashion designer before she retrained as a florist, she spent years creating colour palettes and designing colourways for worldwide fashion brands. Her expertise really lies in creating the most stunning colour combinations, so let us do the work of putting together a colour delight for you.

5. No surprises on the day

With dried and preserved flowers, you will know exactly what you are going to get. There are no surprises or possible disappointments when you have seen exactly what is coming weeks in advance of your special day.

We sent you photos along the process, you can see your bouquets and make any changes to want to make if you need to.

We want you to be truly happy with every little details, no changes are too big for us to make for you. Take the stress away and know exactly what you are getting.

6. Long lasting flowers are better for the earth too

Whilst there is still a carbon footprint to dried and preserved flowers, the fact that you keep them for years after your wedding, means you are far less likely to buy fresh flowers to adorn your home, this saving on future carbon consumption.

Buy once rather than on your weekly supermarket visit!

I get so many pictures from my couples after the wedding showing their flowers in pride of place in their homes, on their mantlepieces, in their bedrooms and I’ve even had a bride use her bridal flower crown as decoration for her baby daughters nursery.

As all my couples say- why on earth would you not have dried and preserved flowers when you get all these benefits?
